It seems everyone has a COVID-19 response plan these days. We did take some time off this Spring for social distancing and enjoying some extra family time. I hope you all did, too. As we reemerge into daily life, we will be making a few changes…
For the foreseeable future, MCP will photograph outdoor sessions only. This may mean fewer scheduling days, as we allow more time in our schedule for rain-dates. It also means we have selected fewer outdoor locations for sessions this year, where we can feel assured that we will not be in crowds at busy parks and other urban areas.
(Session locations in Brentwood, Franklin and Thompson’s Station)
Although all sessions will be outside, we will continue to observe the 6-foot social distancing rule (which honestly isn’t hard as no one wants a camera angle that is less than 6 feet away! 🙂
While some things in this day are changing, one thing remains the same: our commitment to you and your experience! You should still expect the most gorgeous senior pictures in town! You should still expect a fun, unique, personally customized event that you will remember for years! You should still expect the best products to display and share your beautiful portraits!
So, while we work behind the scenes to reorganize and ensure you receive the BEST photography experience in Nashville, we hope you will continue to consider us as your go-to photographer! We look forward to hearing from you!
I may be a little late to the game, but better late than never, right?! Misty Carter Photography can now also be found on Flickr. Pop on over to check out a cool photo stream of my favorite images. I’ll be posting highlights from recent session soon as well. Kids, families and high school senior pictures… all ready for viewing.

Family pictures are so special. I can’t say enough about what they mean to so many people.
I see it in my own life. I loved our family pictures when I was growing up (ok, ok, I still do…) I have shared with you before how much I loved the extended family pictures we would get, with all of the aunts, uncles, cousins and my grandparents or with just all of the cousins (there were a lot of us!). But I would also spend a lot of time pouring over our own family albums. We had pictures on the walls from special moments or different milestones. I loved seeing how our family grew and changed. And now I see it with my kids. They love seeing our family pictures on the wall. We recently sold our home and moved (hello, Tennessee!) and in order to list the house we had to take the pictures down. The children were so sad to see their beloved portraits boxed up. My youngest used to go stare at the pictures of her brother and sister when they were at school. Isn’t it wonderful how our portraits make us feel connected to our family. I think they also show how valued our family is. These aren’t just any people, they are the people that mean the most to us. They are the people that grace our walls and whom we treasure enough to look at every single day, whether they are near or far.
This adorable family was so much fun to work with. I hope and pray they treasure their new family portraits and album as well!
