A picture tells the story of a moment.  A portrait tells the story of you.

The difference between a picture and a portrait is certainly personal and subjective.

For me, a picture is a quick capture of a fleeting moment, while a portrait is an intentional telling of a story.  There is infinite value in both.  I photograph pictures of my children often in their daily lives, at events or holidays.  These are so important as they grow!

In creating a portrait, I use imagery to show YOU.  Or your family, as they area right now and as you want to remember them for years to come.  The creative process around planning  your portraits includes attention to wardrobe, location, light, and most importantly your own style and personality.  This is your life story – a narrative for your future.  These are your treasured memories.
